Red Rock Resorts CEO unsure if Palms, Texas Station and others will reopen

It’s unclear when, or if, Station Casinos’ remaining closed properties will reopen.

Red Rock Resorts, the parent company of Station Casinos, had shuttered its 20 Nevada properties for nearly 80 days under state orders to help curb the spread of COVID-19.  The Palms, Texas Station, Fiesta Henderson and Fiesta Rancho have yet to open.

Nevada became the blueprint and the benchmark for every state considering legalizing sports betting when the Supreme Court made it a possibility with the repeal of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act in May of 2018.

Hornbuckle named new president, CEO of MGM Resorts

MGM Resorts International executive Bill Hornbuckle has had the ‘acting’ removed from his title: He’s now officially the company’s president and CEO.

The company announced Wednesday afternoon that after a nationwide search, MGM’s board of directors concluded that Hornbuckle was the right person to succeed Jim Murren, who stepped down as chairman and CEO earlier this year.  Hornbuckle has held the acting president and CEO title since March.
