Americorp Investments LLC, a company focused on acquiring, developing and commercializing innovative technologies for the gaming industry, announced today that it has been awarded an additional patent by the United States Patent Office.  This patent is the 25th U.S. patent for gaming granted to Americorp or its affiliate Arrow Gaming.  Americorp and Arrow also hold six gaming patents issued in Japan and the Philippines and have 37 gaming and related blockchain technology patents pending in the EPO and PCT countries and jurisdictions worldwide.

Rethinking the Premium Players Lounge

Premium player lounges have become a fixture in many casinos in North America.  These lounges provide higher worth players with a place to take a break from the gaming floor, catch up on text messages, and sit in a relaxed, non-gaming environment.  they also offer hosts a place to connect with their customers.  At some properties, the lounge may provide players with some form of food offering, yet rarely, if ever have they been considered part of a casino’s food & beverage strategy.  In fact, in most player lounges food is treated as an afterthought, usually comprised of packaged snack foods or some items from the central kitchen that, after sitting out for a couple of hours, have lost their gastronomic appeal.

Donaco’s Casino Gamble In Cambodia Gets Messier, Yet Still Pays Off

Australia-listed Donaco International, owner of border casinos in Cambodia and Vietnam, remains immersed in legal proceedings with its biggest individual shareholder, who doubles as its top competitor.  Donaco shares traded over A$1.50 in March 2014 (then US$1.37) and near A$0.70 when it acquired its main asset, Star Vegas in Poipet, but currently languish below A$0.10 (now US$0.07). Australian regulators have seized shares that Donaco’s biggest institutional shareholder, Orchard Capital Partners Asia, didn’t obtain through a loan default by Joey Lim, who cofounded Donaco with his grandfather, Genting Group found Lim Goh Tong.  The elder Lim envisioned Donacao taking on projects that were too small for Genting, but probably never expected a deal this complicated.
