Marketing Presentation Generation

A US-owned asset management group, with approximately £75bn of assets under management, was manually producing PowerPoint slide decks, on both a scheduled and ad-hoc basis, for sending out to clients. The process was not only extremely time consuming but also prone to error as it required the manual entry of content, data and charts as well as keeping multiple templates up to date. A recent FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) audit highlighted the need to have processes and controls in place around all data presented to clients. As a result the client engaged GMA to automate the production of the marketing slide decks using their existing SharePoint 2013 implementation, Qorus and SQL Server Reporting Services which is used to produce high quality charts and graphs.

The new solution allows users to select the content and the order for the decks which are then automatically generated and can be converted, if required, to PDF. The information used in the slides, including performance data, disclaimers, fund manager biographies etc., is held centrally in SharePoint or SQL so the output is accurate and up to date. The solution keeps a full audit trail of what was produced when, for whom, etc. and copies of the PowerPoint and PDF output.
