May 2017 - GMA Consulting is pleased to announce the impending launch of GDPR Portal, a cloud-based solution which will have practical tools designed to help small and medium-sized organisations comply with the forthcoming General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
GDPR Portal will be a cost-effective solution which will help small and medium-sized organisations comply with GDPR. It will a have a suite of practical tools enabling organisations to record:
- The types of data, e.g. email addresses, they process and which ones are sensitive or high risk
- How they collect personal data and the associated policies and procedures such as recording consent
- Where they store the data and the related policies around security, retention and deletion
- Who they share the data with and if there are any international transfers
- Subject Access Requests (SARs) and the actions and timelines for the response to the SAR
- Breach notifications and the actions and timelines for notifying the regulator and, where necessary, impacted individuals

GMA Consulting and TermSet partner to offer intelligent document solutions to firms in the financial services sector
April 2016 - GMA Consulting and TermSet, a provider of software which automatically creates accurate and consistent metadata and taxonomies for Office documents, PDF's and emails within Microsoft SharePoint, are pleased to announce a partnership to offer advanced document-centric solutions for firms in the financial services sector.
GMA has identified two important areas where TermSet’s advanced capabilities, such as summarisation and sentiment analysis can deliver clear benefits to its customers.
The first is managing research documents. Both buy and sell side firms produce and consume large amounts of research documents. When a piece of research material is uploaded to a SharePoint library TermSet can automatically produce a headline summary, classify the sentiment and automatically tag with metadata such as asset class, industry sector, company name and region / country. This will make it far easier for users to find documents they are interested in, particularly if SharePoint’s advanced search capabilities are used as well.
The second area is legal document management. TermSet can help extract key information such as matter reference and counterparty names and tag documents with this information. This would negate the need for legal departments to manually classify documents, which is hugely time consuming and inefficient.

GMA to attend PAICR annual conference in New York
November 2015 - GMA Consulting, in partnership with Qorus Software, will be attending the Professional Association for Investment Communications Resources (PAICR) annual conference in New York on November 16 and 17.
PAICR is a non-profit group serving marketing and communications professionals in the investment management industry in the US.
The theme of the annual conference is "Blurred Lines: The New Marketing Ecosystem" and focuses on the evolving and growing responsibilities of marketing and the increasing intersection and partnering of marketing with other functions in the business such as sales, compliance, IT and corporate communications.

GMA hosts its website in the latest release of Windows Azure
September 2012 – GMA is now hosting its website in
the latest release of Windows Azure, Microsoft’s public cloud platform.
GMA has for some time been at the forefront of utilising the Azure platform to
host SharePoint implementations for our clients as well as ourselves. Prior to
the latest release SharePoint was not natively supported in Azure. To overcome
this limitation GMA developed custom components which integrated with the Azure
re-imaging process and enabled SharePoint to be hosted. Our cutting edge work in
this area has been recognised by Microsoft.
The latest release of Azure provides a gallery of pre-configured Windows Server
virtual machine images, backed by an up to 99.95% SLA, which support Microsoft
server-based applications such as SharePoint, SQL Server and Active Directory.
To host its website GMA provisioned a Windows Server VM from the Azure gallery
which enabled us to rapidly and easily set up the required website
